Wholesale District Food Tour
The Massachusetts Avenue Food Tour provides a cultural and culinary exploration of one of the most historic and noteworthy areas in the city.
In the heart of downtown Indianapolis, the Wholesale district is an architecturally and historically rich area, complete with handsome 19th century buildings, tall skyscrapers, one of the most beautiful train stations built in the United States, and state of the art sports and recreational facilities.
The area developed rapidly in the late 1800s and early 1900s as Indianapolis prospered as one of the country's major railroad hubs, and brisk trade between merchants was commonplace.
In the past several decades, the area has seen a resurgence and is now once again one of the best places to shop in the city. It also boasts an array of dining options, from hole in the wall to high end, and everything in between.
The Wholesale District Food Tour will explore the neighborhood's culture, history, architecture and cuisine in a three hour guided walking tour.
Groups will visit a combination of iconic local restaurants, and new exciting concepts.
The Wholesale District Food Tour is now available for groups of 4 or more. Tickets start at 69 dollars a person for a 3 hour guided Dine Around. Alcohol packages are available as well, starting at $35 a person.
